LL.M. Asian-European Business Transactions
(Focus on ASEAN, China and the EU)
Established in 2005, the LLM Program Asian-European Business Transactions has
been an immediate success and was thus particularly praised by Hamburg's Senator
of Justice at the program's first graduation ceremony in October 2006. Numerous
renowned law firms such as Lovells or White & Case are involved as internship
and/or faculty partners, and the Hamburg Bar - the regional representation of
all lawyers in Hamburg, in German "Hanseatische Rechtsanwaltskammer - ensure
that apart from excellent theoretical knowledge, the LLM graduates also possess
the relevant practical experiences necessary to enter the international job
market. Graduates work in science (PhD studies or special projects), law firms
(as lawyers or consultants) and law departments of European and Asian companies.

This month's testimonial:
Mr. William Sutton (USA)
I had been living in Hamburg for several years as a foreign national before I decided to join the LL.M. program at the ICGS. I knew how difficult it was to meet new people and get an international job in a foreign country. However, I wanted to become more knowledgeable and experienced in the international market.
Now, after achieving the LL.M. as one of the highest grades in the class, I have found acquiring an international job much easier. Also, I have the honor of furthering my studies with a PhD dissertation at the University of Hamburg under Professor Paschke.
I wish the best success to present and future LL.M. candidates. Keep up the hard work and it will pay you back tenfold in the end.
William Sutton
